Migration

Migration

I fell in love with the original photograph of this ginkgo as soon as I saw it. I had ideas of altering it, but it had a life of it’s own and directed the process (as is usually the case). I had a hard time coming up with a title, so asked my Facebook page fans and friends. I chose one of the names – Migration (thank you, Patty). It reminded Patty of a butterfly. Me, too.

Photographs, handmade papers, altered paper, fabric, and textures — digitally layered and manipulated.
